According to West Virginia University:
The Master of Legal Studies is an online program designed for professionals practicing in human relations, criminal and juvenile justice, the court system (including magistrates and probation officers), journalism, social work, regulatory agencies, county and municipal government, military, business and other professionals who work with, though not necessarily in, the legal system. However, it is neither a ‘pre-law’ program nor a paralegal program and does not prepare graduates to practice law. The program is designed to accommodate mid-career professionals who are employed full-time. Most students complete the program in six semesters, but you may customize your coursework to complete it in less or more time. |
